Purpose of the SASMO
The purpose of the SASMO is to provide information and guidance on sustainment automation support management office (SASMO) operations, including network administration, systems administration, and the role of SASMO in providing sustainment automation support to sustainment and maneuver units as well as non-tactical environments.

What are SASMOS?
SASMOs are sustainment automation support management officers that provide sustainment automation support to sustainment and maneuver units as well as non-tactical operations.

Sustainment Transport System (STS) Network Administration
STS network administrator oversees network management, ensuring that the systems that support the sustainment warfighting function (logistics, financial management, personnel services, and health service support) can communicate with each other.

Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) Systems Administration
EBS systems administrator maintains the systems that leaders and staffs use to exchange information among providers, units, staff sections, and levels. EBS systems administrator makes sure that the EBSs can collect, analyze, and transmit data reliably.

Sustainment Automation Cyber Security
Cyber Security SASMOs work in the EBS and STS domains and do cybersecurity tasks (identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover) following the risk management framework that higher headquarters specify.
